I am a Graphic Design graduate with experience of working as a Designer in London and the Netherlands. I work as a Print and Printmaking Instructor at Leeds Arts University, UK. I am also a Visiting Lecturer there. I also teach Experimental Screen Printing, a series of five week evening courses, and Beginners Screen Printing, two day introductory courses, at Leeds Print Workshop.
I am a practicing printmaker and founding member of Leeds Print Workshop. My own creative practice investigates colour balancing and ink behaviour when painted or pulled through the screen. My work explores the mechanical process of screen printing, off- setting it with the hand drawn and hand-made positive. I am intrigued by the intricacies of the surfaces and imagery that can be created. I work to refine new processes, applying them to my drawings to create complex, detailed prints. I am inspired by artists such as Sister Corita Kent and Ciara Phillips.
